Very suspenseful book. I was at the edge of my seat at every page.
I absolutely loved this book! It really painted a very vivid picture of what the events of the fictional JW Armageddon might be like if they actually occurred. I could really identify with the main character John Parker. This book just spoke volumes to me.
A well written and easy to follow fictional story about Jehovah's Witnesses during and after armageddon.
In his fictional account, Edwards, a keen observer of the Jehovah's Witness in its natural habitat the Kindgom Hall, accurately crafts a tale of sheer terror while taking the reader on an unsettling roller coaster ride through Armageddon to a paradisiacal Earth where (perhaps not so surprisingly) hypocrisy, self-interest, and cognitive dissonance abound among the JW Armageddon survivors. The Turning Sword is a must read for anyone who experienced in childhood as a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses cult the fear and trauma of the "approaching" battle of Armageddon, for those who have escaped or are contemplating leaving the cult, and most especially for those who are considering following it.
Great novel.
An exceptional story of a dystopian future. Well written and i thoroughly recommend it.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book and the wild ride it took me on. It touches on all your adventurous imaginations. A+
